Elephants in Tailand

Posted by on September 30, 2014

Elephant Hills in Tailand is a company that has set up and started to run conservation projects – they are a big part of what they have come to offer – with continuous training for the guides who look after the elephants and run the tented camps, in addition they support wildlife studies and run the elephant hills school project.
They have also set up one of the first luxury tented camps. They offer different adventure stays which include a canoe safari down the Sok River, jungle trekking through the rainforest with wildlife spotting and of course the Elephant experience.
During this unique experience you won’t get to ride these Asian elephants but instead learn the secrets of their mahouts, you’ll definitely get hands on with these glorious creatures. You’ll get the opportunity to prepare and feed them their daily meals and help clean them. You’ll also be asked to help plant some of the plants which they feed on.
