Relaxing in a Star Bed While On Safari

Posted by on July 16, 2014

A safari is an all encompassing wildlife experience said to be great for body mind and soul. The Star Beds located in Loisaba in Kenya take that experience to a higher level (in more than one meaning of the word).

Normally for couples but family options are available, the Star Beds are traditionally crafted wooden beds fitted with complete insect netting for you to be able to sleep in luxurious comfort while being able to marvel at natures wonders from your own bed. From sunrise to sunset you can enjoy nature in peace and watch the stars at night. The bed is positioned on home-made “mukokoteni” wheels that can either be placed under the stars or in the shelter.

These Star Beds are located in the eastern valleys amongst a kopje of rocks overlooking the Kiboko watering hole. Guests either travel to the Star Beds via horse, camel, car or on foot and are greeted by traditional Massai Warroirs who will ensure you have a great stay.
